Business Link Program Overview
 Business Link is a program designed to help eighth-grade
students understand the connection between skills learned in class and
those needed for success in the workplace.
Teachers help students learn the connection between the
curriculum and skills needed in the workplace, and students use hands-on
experiences to help them select elective classes and make decisions
regarding possible future careers.
Partners in the business community provide students with
detailed exposure to the workplace, usually through one-day, hands-on
experience or through an internship of two to four students accompanied by
a parent, teacher, or volunteer.
If your business is interested in participating as a
Business Link site, or if you would be willing to supervise two to four
students on Business Link dates, please contact Partners in Education at

The Business Link days for 2007-2008 are Wednesday, November
14, 2007, and Wednesday, May 7, 2008.
