School-to-Career Concentrations
School-to-Career Concentrations is part of a national
education reform movement dedicated to changing the way teachers teach and
students learn. The goal of School-to-Career Concentrations is to
help students successfully advance from school to the career of their
choice by understanding the connection between what they learn and how
they use it in the real world. The School-to-Career Concentrations
system consists of three major components: a school-based learning
component, a connecting activities component, and a work-based learning
component.
Together, these three components ensure the bridge
between education and career is built so that lifelong learning can occur.
Community members and businesses can help by partnering in this process.
